Guest speaker Dr. John Seidel, CEO of Historic St. Mary’s City Museum, will discuss “St. Mary’s City’s Past Present, and Future.” Dr. Seidel grew up in the Middle East and has worked in nine countries, but lucky for us, his research interests lie in the Chesapeake Region during the 17th and 18th centuries. Please see his full biography for more information on his impressive background.
On March 1, Dr. Seidel will provide an update on new work at the museum, review some exciting recent discoveries, and outline an ambitious plan for the upcoming 400th anniversary of Maryland’s founding. He will also discuss the natural alliance between the stewardship of environmental and heritage resources, with opportunities for collaboration and regional impact.
